View DetailsSustaining continuous side milling and drilling loads requires a structurally stable casing that resists flex and dampens vibration. Our standard 90° angle heads feature dense, heavy-walled bodies cast from high-grade QT500-7 Ductile Iron. Following the casting process, each monoblock housing is subjected to artificial aging and rigorous stress-relief heat treatment. This metallurgical refinement prevents housing deformation over prolonged duty cycles, ensuring that the tool holder maintains high spindle rigidity during medium-to-heavy lateral machining.
The internal drive train of the DK90-ER Series is engineered to transfer spindle torque smoothly and accurately:
Gleason Spiral Bevel Gears: Manufactured from 20CrMnTi Alloy Steel, these gears are carburized and quenched to a surface hardness of HRC 58-62, then ground to ISO Grade 4 precision standards.
Operating Specifications: This gearing keeps transmission backlash to ≤ 15 arcmin and limits operational noise to ≤ 70 dB under full load.
Spindle Rigidity: Coupled with preloaded P4 class high-precision angular contact bearings, these heads achieve a standard end-face runout of ≤ 0.01 mm (with high-precision models capable of achieving ≤ 0.005 mm) and a repeat positioning accuracy of ≤ 0.02 mm.
We design our standard right-angle heads to integrate with minimal setup time:
Taper Compatibility: Standard models accommodate BT40 and BT50 taper interfaces, with technical designs available for CAT, SK, and ISO spindles.
Engineering Validation: To assist with clearance planning, 3D CAD step files are available for download, and our engineering team can provide matching positioning blocks (stop blocks) configured to your machine’s exact spindle specifications.
Global Shipping Compliance: Standard stocked items are typical for dispatch within 7 to 15 working days. Each unit is prepared with rust-preventative treatment and packed inside an ISPM 15-compliant, Fumigation-Free Plywood Case for secure international transit.
